Welcome to the family 'Aaron'! We have a new Aaron in our family! Katie & Ian decided to name their new baby boy after Katie's brother, Aaron... I asked Katie why she chose her brother's name for her baby and she said it was because Aaron is her favourite person in the world! We've all been patiently awaiting this little boy's birth...he was due on the December 7th, and Katie thought for sure he would be early...and true to babylore, 'and with the patter of baby feet are 40 million words to eat!' he arrived much later...December 16th! There was a glimmer that he might be born on the 15th (Uncle Donald's birthday) however, he arrived at 2:10am on the 16th. Katie decided long ago to have a home water birth...and along with mid-wife, doula, Ian and me...that is what happened. She does admit there were a few moments when she herself questioned the wisdom of this decision...in the midst of some pretty wearing contractions, however, she bravely persevered to proudly deliver a beautiful 8 lb 11 oz healthy baby boy! Welcome to parenthood Katie & Ian...your lives have changed forever and there is no doubt in my mind, that this little treasure will grow up to be your pride & joy, just as you have been for me! ...and while celebrating his birth, we already look ahead to the next arrival in February...and so our family grows!
